For dimout – Not OEKO-Tex certified, we will have to apply separately as of now.
FabriCare fabrics comply with a range of fire-retardant standards, such as CAL 117, NFPA 260, and BS 5852, source 0, among others. FR compliance varies from collection to collection, and requirements vary from country to country. Please refer to the fabric sample for the applicable standards.
All these fabrics are cigarette smoulder retardant and not flame retardant.
FabriCare is a performance brand from the house of D'Décor which comprises engineered textiles made with pre-tested and approved fabrics with specific fibre and construction requirements to ensure consistent performance. Approved fibres are permanently transformed with stain and odour protection through an immersion process, plus an impenetrable moisture barrier that protects the fabric from spills.
Depending on the collection or product that you purchase, your FabriCare will have different functionalities.
FabriCare's high-performance furnishings pass standard mechanical tests such as:
Martindale Abrasion Resistance (ISO 12947-2): All our fabrics are tested for resistance to wear and abrasion, achieving excellent Martindale scores.
Seam Slippage (mm) (ISO 13936-2): We study how resistant a fabric is to yarns opening/slipping under pressure along a seam line. Technically, seam efficiency should be excellent to perform well for furnishings.
Pilling Resistance (ISO 12945-2): This testing method ensures that our fabrics remain looking new for longer. It evaluates how the surface of our fabrics will look and perform after prolonged use.
Color Fastness to Light/weathering (ISO 105-B02/B04): All FabriCare fabrics are colorfast, meaning they won't fade when exposed to light. The FabriCare outdoor indoor range has excellent light fastness grades of 7-8, meaning the fabric will sustain 1500 hours of sun and weather exposure without fading.
Fire Retardant (FR) Compliance: FabriCare fabrics comply with a range of fire retardant standards, including CAL 117, NFPA 260, BS58852 source 0, and more. FR compliance varies from collection to collection, and requirements vary from country to country, so please refer to the fabric sample for applicable standards.

Follow these simple steps to remove stains from FabriCare fabrics:
- Gently scrape off any excess remains of the spill from the upholstery using a flat edge object, like a spoon.
- Spray water directly onto the stain to soak it and blot using a paper towel. Be sure to blot and not rub. Repeat this until the paper towel no longer absorbs any stain.
- If the stain remains, spray more water liberally onto it and gently rub the stain in a circular motion using a microfiber cloth. Repeat this until the stain vanishes.
- If the stain persists, apply a little soap on it using a household bar. Spray water liberally and rub the stain again using a micofiber cloth. Be sure to use a lot of water to remove all traces of the soap. Repeat till the stain vanishes.
- Let the fabric air dry. Do not apply heat or use a hair dryer.
Please refer to our videos on our website for instructions.

You can use a regular household soap that does not contain heavy detergent to remove tough stains from FabriCare fabrics.
Please use a regular household microfiber cloth. Any colour and size is okay, as long as it is a microfiber cloth. The tiny microfibers in the cloth will work as a support, making it easier to remove stains from FabriCare fabrics.
Use moderate amount of water through a spray bottle method. Let them air dry afterward, and don’t use any heating methods, such as hair dryers, for quick drying. Heat will damage the fabric. Just let it air dry.
No, using bleach is not recommended for your upholstery or drapery fabrics as it can damage the fabric and be harmful to your body, pets, and the environment.
Yes, rubbing gently in a circular motion is important because of the crisscrossing structure of the yarns in FabriCare fabrics. Using a circular movement is the best way to ensure that you clean the whole stain effectively.
A gentle pressure is all that’s required. On the contrary rubbing harder will just impale the stain further into the structure of the fabric itself and make it harder to remove in the long run. So gentle pressure is best.
No, you don’t. All you need is water, a real microfibre cloth, and perhaps a small hard bar of white household soap to clean FabriCare fabrics. you don’t need to use abrasive items like these on our fabrics.

FabriCare Indoor/Outdoor fabrics
It is difficult to give a precise estimate of how long outdoor fabrics will last in the sun, as it depends on a variety of external factors such as the conditions of exposure, such as extreme heat or high altitude. However, our experience shows that our products can typically last 4-5 years under normal use. In terms of fading, it varies based on the construction of the fabric and the level of exposure to sunlight, but typically darker shades will fade more quickly than lighter shades. Our products are backed by a guarantee, but the specific terms depend on the product and should be reviewed before purchase
All FabriCare indoor/outdoor fabrics are resistant to ultraviolet rays.
Yes. Further, once the rain settles, our fabrics should dry within 2-4 hours.
Acrylics and Olefins are two common materials used for outdoor furniture. FabriCare fabrics have olefin technology.
Olefin, made from polypropylene, boast superior durability and is especially resistant to abrasion, while also being water-resistant, even when frequently exposed to saltwater and chlorinated water. Olefin fabrics are 0% moisture absorbent. Olefin fabrics have a low carbon footprint and are typically less expensive than acrylic fabrics. Olefin fabrics are the clear winner in terms of eco-friendliness, as they can be recycled up to 10 times without adverse results.
Acrylics, have a rougher hand feel and are typically more expensive. Acrylic fabrics absorbs 1-2% of moisture, which may affect the colour, strength and feel of the fabric. Acrylics also transmit static electricity, which can produce quite a shock to bare skin on hot summer days. Acrylic fabrics are not readily biodegradable and not easy to recycle.
Both Olefin and acrylics come in a wide range of patterns, colors, and designs, and both are quite resistant to fading and impervious to stains and mildew. Both fabrics remain cool when exposed to direct sunlight. Maintenance is easy for both, with spot-cleaning and bleach use. However, Olefin is sensitive to extreme heat and should be hung up to dry rather than placed in a dryer.
No, FabriCare has a special collection called Outdoor (*namely Blue Sky II, III, IV) that is designed for outdoor use.
Yes, you can dry clean FabriCare sofa covers. The outdoor range (Blue Sky II, III, IV) is even bleach cleanable.
When storing outdoor fabrics, it's important to ensure they are clean and completely dry to prevent mold or mildew growth. Fold or roll the fabric and store it in a dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight to prevent fading. You can also consider using storage bags or containers that provide protection against moisture and insects.
